Kaboom was the 2018 National Champion Ram at both the National Junior & Open Shows, Supreme Ram at 2018 Wisconsin State Fair and 2019 Senior Champion Ram at the National Open Show. 2020 was Kaboom’s first real lamb crop. He was bred to about 1/3 of our ewe flock and did not disappoint. He sired the high selling ewe lamb in our online sales, Res. Champion Ram at Freedom Fest, Champion Ram, Res. Ram and Res. Ewe at the Youth Sheep Expo and multiple class winners at the National Open & Junior Shows including the 2020 National Champion Ewe. He has quickly become one of the most talked about rams in the Shropshire breed. He was used heavily again in our program for Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 lambs along with many other flocks around the nation through AI. |

Fear Factor

This Entourage son has been used the past 2 years with great results. He has sired some high quality lambs in that time including the Champion Ewe at the 2019 National Junior Show, Res Champion Ram 2019 National Junior Show, Junior Champion 2020 Freedom Fest and No Fear, the 2020 National Champion Ram. Fear Factor adds the extra shot of muscle and shape that we were needing. Fear Factor was used heavily again for Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 lambs.

Our top Fear Factor son from the 2020 lamb crop. His dam is an Entourage daughter and a twin to the dam of Public Enemy. We only showed this ram at NAILE where he was the 2020 National Champion Ram in the Open show and won his class in the Junior Show. We love this rams color, mass, muscling and correctness. We used him on about 10 ewes for the 2021 lamb crop. |

This Grey Goose son was the 2019 National Champion Ram. Dam was a top Entourage daughter from 2016 and had a successful show career too. We used Summit on a few select ewe for the 2020 crop and used him once again on a select group of ewes for 2021 lambs.

No Mercy |

One of our top Fear Factor sons out of an Entourage daughter. Dam was the 2018 National Open & Junior Show Champion Ewe that went undefeated in 2018. No Mercy was only shown at NAILE in 2019, placing in the top 3 in both shows. His twin sister had an extremely successful show career for us in 2019, winner her class at Illinois, Wisconsin, All-American and the National Open Show. She was then our high seller of the spring sales, being sold to Kenyon Buckland, IN. She once again had a successful show career for Kenyon which included winner her class at the 2020 National Open & Junior Shows. We used No Mercy on a few select ewes for fall 2020 lambs and spring 2021 lambs.

One of our top Grey Goose sons and out of an Entourage daughter. The dam is a twin to the dam of No Fear, the 2020 National Champion Ram. Public Enemy had a highly successful show career which included being Champion Ram at Illinois State Fair Junior Show, the All-American Junior Show and the National Junior Show. ½ Interest in Public Enemy was sold to MoBo Junction Shrops prior to the 2019 NAILE and he was used heavily in their program for 2020 lambs. 2021 lambs will be our first set of lambs out of Public Enemy.

Grey Goose

Grey Goose, purchased from Tim & Sarah Fleener in 2018, brought us the outcross we needed. He added bone and mass to our Entourage daughters without sacrificing breed character and muscling. He sired the 2019 National Champion Ram and the 2020 Res. National Champion Ewe. We unfortunately lost Grey Goose in the fall of 2018 but do have a limited number of units of semen that we continue to use on a few select ewes each year.

Slack’s “Entourage” needs no introduction. Purchased from Tom Slack in 2015, Entourage has been the backbone of our success the past 5 years. He has sired champions at every level including the National Sale, Midwest Stud Ram Sale, State Fairs, All-American Junior Shows and the National Open and Junior Shows. You would be hard pressed to find a more influential ram in the Shropshire breed over the past 20 years. Most of our sheep now have 2 to 3 shots of Entourage in their pedigree but even after his passing in 2018 we still continue to use semen from him on select ewes each year.

Burn Out

One of our top Entourage sons on a X-Cite daughter.
Burn Out is a May born yearling who’s twin was Champion Ram at the 2018 National Sale. Dam was a class winner at 2014 Indiana State Fair and was Res Champion Ewe at the National Junior Show. Burn Out was Champion Ram at the 2018 Illinois State Fair and Res Champion at Wisconsin. He will bring a little more extension and design to some of our smaller ewes without sacrificing mass, depth, bone and wool cover.
Used for Fall 2018 and Spring 2019 lambs.

He was the last of the “big” rams that we used. He goes back to a Pardus Ewe on the dam side which is the largest ewe family we had. He sired the 2011 National Champion ram and the Res. National Champion Ewe. 2012 offspring included the Champion Ram at the 2012 Ohio Classic, Champion Ewe at the National Sale and Champion Ewe at the 2012 Ohio State Fair along with numerous class winners. Bandit was vital to our success earlier this decade. |
